This "Special Gentle Giants Tour" is an exclusive excursion that takes you up close and personal with magnificent wild creatures such as the Asian elephant, blue whale, and sperm whale, among numerous other extraordinary species found in the stunning landscapes of Sri Lanka. Itineraries
Day 1
Rest at Negombo
On arrival, to be met by our English-speaking Guide. Transfer to your hotel in Negombo. [Optional: Negombo fish market, visit Palagathuray beach]
Overnight Stay at Negombo
Day 2
Transfer to Habarana
Travel to Habarana.
[optional: Sigiriya Rock Fortress]. In the evening, jeep safari at Kawudulla National Park (see Asian Wild Elephants).

Day 3
Safari at Minneriya National Park
Full day safari at Minneriya National Park. In September, you can also see Elephant gathering).

Day 4
Transfer to Kandy
Travel to Kandy. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and in the evening visit to Udawatta kele Forest.

Day 5
Travel to Udawalawe
Travel to Udawalawe and visit Elephant Transit Home. In the evening, jeep-safari at Udawalawe National Park.

Day 6
Safari at Udawalawe National Park
Full day jeep safari at Udawalawa National Park. In the evening, travel to Mirissa.
Overnight Stay at Mirissa
Day 7
Whale Watching at Mirissa
Early morning sail to offshore of Mirissa for whale watching (see Blue Whales and Sperm Whales). In the evening, rest on the beach enjoy the sun, sand and sea.

Day 8
Transfer to Colombo
Travel to Colombo and visit Diyasaru Wetland Park. Shopping at Colombo.

Departure Transfer
Proceed to the Airport in time.
