"Bird Photography Tour" is specifically designed for bird and nature photographers and enthusiasts. On this tour, you can explore the country's top birding and nature hotspots and witness stunning birds in their natural habitats.
From wetlands to lowlands and highlands, immerse yourself in the diverse birding environments. This tour promises unforgettable moments as you photograph the incredible range of bird species that call Sri Lanka home.

Itineraries
Day 1
Rest in Negombo
On arrival, to be met by our English-speaking Guide. Transfer to your hotel in Negombo.

Overnight Stay at Negombo
Day 2
Travel to Wilpattu
Leave Negombo and on the way, do birding at Anawilundawa Sanctuary. Settle at Wilpattu. Wilpattu National Park is an undisturbed forest with pristine wildlife.

Day 3
Safari in Wilpattu
Full-day jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park with packeted breakfast & lunch.
[Optional: night walk in the village to see night wildlife]

Day 4
Travel to Habarana
After breakfast, travel to Habarana. Do birding at the vicinity of Kandalama tank. In the evening, have a jeep safari to Kawudull/ Minneriya National Park.

Day 5
Birding in Pidurangala/Sigiriya
Visit Pidurangala/ Sigiriya Sanctuary for birding. In the evening, visit the Popham’s Arboretum for bird photography.

Day 6
Travel to Nuwara Eliya (Hill Country)
Travel to Nuwara Eliya (also called 'Little England'. In the evening, visit to Kande ela Forest reserve for bird photography.

Day 7
Birding in Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. In the evening, visit Victoria Park for more bird photography.

Day 8
Birding at Horton Plains
Early morning visit to Horton Plains National Park with packed breakfast and lunch (Photograph rare and endemic highland birds). After lunch, travel to Udawalawe via Ella.
En route, do birding at Buduruwalagala Forest and visit ruins in the site.

Day 9
Safari at Udawalawa National Park
Half day jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park (famous for water birds). In the evening, transfer to Deniyaya Rain Forest eco lodge and do birding at the hotel premises.

Day 10
Birding at Eastern Sinharaja
Birding at Pitadeniya trail at Eastern Sinharaja. After lunch, transfer to Sinharaja Kudawa area. Rest at the hotel in the evening.

Day 11
Birding in Sinharaja Rain Forest
Morning birding in the Sinharaja (World Heritage Site). Evening birding along the stream at Ketalapattala, Sinharaja and the village setup.

Birding in Sinharaja Rain Forest
Full-day birding in Sinharaja Rain Forest (With packeted lunch, go deep into the forest to photograph rare and endemic birds)

Day 13
Transfer to Kithulagala
Transfer from Kudawa to Kithulgala. En route, visit Morapitiya forest reserve. If time permits, birding in the Parawalathanna villege.

Day 14
Birding at Kithulgala Forest Reserve
Do birding in the Kithulgala Forest. Rest at the hotel in the evening. Night time walk to see the nocturnal birds.

Transfer to Colombo
Travel to Colombo. En route, visit Seethawaka Botanic Garden for birding. In the evening, do birding at Thalangama tank.

Diyasaru Wetland Park
In the morning, do birding at Diyasaru Wetland Park in Colombo. In the evening, shoping in Colombo.
