Day 1
Rest at Negombo
On arrival, to be met by our English-speaking Guide. Transfer to your hotel in Negombo. [Optional: Negombo fish market, visit Palagathuray beach]

Day 2
Travel to Wilpattu
Leave Negombo and on the way, do birding at Anaiwilundawa Sanctuary. Settle at Wilpattu. Wilpattu National Park is an undisturbed forest with pristine wildlife.

Day 3
Safari in Wilpattu
Full-day jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park with packeted breakfast & lunch.

Day 4
Visit Anuradhapura (The city of Kings)
Travel to Anuradhapura to explore the UNESCO heritage city of Anuradhapura, the place where the 2,500-year history began.
Site visits: Lowamahapaya, Ruwanweli Maha Seya, Abhayagiriya, Kuttam pokuna. [Optional: Mihinthalaya Rajamaha Viharaya]

Day 5
Travel to Habarana (The hub of the Cultural Triangle)
After breakfast, transfer to Habarana. On the way, visit Ritigala Archeological Site. In the evening experience the authentic village tour.

Day 6
Explore Sigiriya (5th Century Rock Fortress)
Climb and explore Sigiriya (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). After lunch, a half a day jeep safari at Mineriya/ Kawudulla National Park.

Visit Polonnaruwa Archeological Site
Spend the full day at Polonnaruwa Archeological Site. It is a UNESCO heritage site (the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka).

Day 8
Relax and Enjoy the Hotel and Surrounding
[optional: visit Pidurangala, a night walk in the manmade forest at Phopom’s Arboratum for Lorises]

Day 9
Visit Kandy
Travel to Kandy. On the way, visit Dhambulla Temple, Nalanda Gedige.
In the evening, watch Kandian Traditional Dancing and visit the Temple of Tooth Relic.

Travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
En route, visit Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, and experience the Tea Factory.

Explore Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. On the way back, visit Seetha Aman Kovil, and relax at the hotel after lunch. Evening bird watching in Galwayas National Park.

Travel to Ella
Visit Little England (Ella). En route, visit Horton Plains National Park [optional: Thotupola Kanda trekking]

Travel to Yala National Park
En route, visit Buduruwagala Rajamaha viharaya. Half-day jeep safari at Yala. Yala is popular for elephant and leopard sightings. [Optional: Kirinda temple and beach]

Safari at Yala
Full-day jeep safari at Yala. Transfer to Kalamatiya.

Proceed to a location close to the Sinharaja Rainforest and relax in the forested area.

December – April & July – September periods are the best. But, you can enjoy most of the destinations (except Sinharaja) on this trip, throughout the year.
